Norris has over 20 years' experience in road ecology.  He works as an international biodiversity/wildlife consultant on transportation projects for the Asian Development Bank since 2014. He retired from the Arizona Game and Fish Department after 29 years, the last 15 as a research biologist focused on wildlife-highway relationships.
