Before joining ADBI, Shinichi Nakabayashi taught at the IMF–Singapore Regional Training Institute and the Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Tokyo. He has worked as a senior official at the Japanese Ministry of Finance, OECD in Paris, and IMF. He has a M. Phil. degree in Economics from the University of Oxford and a B.A. from the University of Tokyo.
