Kenichi Yokoyama Special Senior Advisor to the President, Office of the President, Asian Development Bank
Kenichi Yokoyama has deep knowledge and experience in ADB’s operations, particularly the South Asia region. He served as South Asia Department (SARD) director general and as ADB country director in Nepal and India. He also worked with SARD where he was responsible for developing water resources projects in South Asian countries, including Bangladesh, India, and Nepal. Before joining ADB, he worked with the Government of Japan for about 16 years in various capacities. He has degrees in Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Economics.
Nepal has made it easier to move goods across borders by updating customs software, constructing a new inland clearance depot, and rehabilitating border access roads.
