Xiaoyun Li Distinguished Professor at College of Humanities and Development Studies of China Agricultural University
Xiaoyun Li is Dean of China Institute for South–South Cooperation in Agriculture. His research areas include international development, agriculture, poverty reduction, gender and development, and sustainable resource management. He obtained his Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in crop science from Beijing Agricultural University (the predecessor of China Agricultural University).
The experience of the People’s Republic of China shows that beyond economic growth, an adaptive and cooperative approach can help reduce poverty even at hard to reach places.
