Hiranya Mukhopadhyay’s areas of specialization include open economy macroeconomics and public finance (with special emphasis on subnational finances). He has processed and implemented many policy-based loans in ADB for South, Central, and West Asian countries. Prior to joining ADB, he worked at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy in New Delhi. He has a PhD in Economics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and was a post-doctoral fellow at Boston University and Oxford University.
