Bobir Gafurov is currently responsible for engagement with governments and other stakeholders in the Central and West Asia region on reforms in macrofiscal policies, state-owned enterprises, public-private partnerships, among others. He has over 23 years of project management, public finance, financial sector, and private sector development experience. Prior to joining ADB, he worked for the Government of Uzbekistan and in private sector enterprises. He studied in Uzbekistan and in the United States, where he obtained his degrees in Finance and Public Accounting.
