Atabek Umirbekov has worked as a climate change specialist in Central Asia for more than 10 years. He has focused on enhancing access to improved climate change knowledge services and increasing local technical capacities for addressing climate challenges in the region. His latest research looked into impacts of climate variability and climate change on water availability and irrigated agriculture in Central Asia.
