Amanda McClelland is an internationally recognized expert in public health management and health systems strengthening, with focus on epidemic preparedness, emergency response, and disease prevention. She coordinated frontline efforts during the 2014 Ebola outbreak, earning the Florence Nightingale Medal for exceptional courage, and published a landmark World Bank study on the cost of health worker infections during COVID-19. She has also held senior roles at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
